GoPro on-board camera

My girlfriend got me a GoPro camera for the rally car! Finally we can get some new incar footage at events next season.

attach to bumper prior to water crossings?

yep water proof. no moving parts...all recording is done to SD cards. I suspect he got the wide angle which offers a nice view and they do record nice footage at a decent frame rate. A lot of people use them for helmet cams and I recently saw them used in one of those Redbull base jump/ squirrel suit videos.

After some initial testing the quality is pretty impressive! The only issue I am trying to work out is a way to tie the audio from the intercom into the recorder, theres no input provided so some soldering may be required unfortunatly.

Just put a speaker from your headsets near the camera. While you're at it rig up an exhaust microphone to said speaker. Totally ghetto. Totally awesome.

we really don't need the intercom wired in there...no one wants to hear me scream like a little girl :lol:
