Make sure to come out to this rally which includes some night racing on Friday evening (to 11pm).
No Saabs entered yet but last year Luke Sorensen finished 4th overall in his Saab!
Lots of motorcycle racers and even two Rally Trucks entered so far. One of the driver's favorite rally events on the East Coast for a few years now.

I think it has something to do with that incredible service crew he drags along to the events.

Some say he has two left pinkies and roams the woods to forage for insects... all we know is he's called...

Some say his favorite t-shirt has a picture of a t-shirt on it.

Re: Black River Stages 9/23-9/24
Those of you who didn't make it to Black River Stages this year missed out on a good time!
I rode in the VW greasecar again. Justin built a new subframe for the skidplate which ended up contacting the driveshaft so we had to return to the service area even before going to Park Expose. Our starting position was 39th on the road out of about 45. Somehow we ended up moving up about 15 positions between checking in at the SS1 time control and the SS1 start.
The car also had an un-tested new independent rear suspension (http://www.specialstage.com/forums/showthread.php?44499-One-off-VW-MK1-Rear-suspension-success-or-failure). As soon as we started stage 1 it felt like we had a flat rear tire, the car was all over the place and I though we'd have to give up. At the end of the stage we let some pressure out of the tires. The suspension was also contacting the body on the right side. After a few stages things started to feel pretty good. I think it was a combination of lower tire pressures and the suspension smashing it's way into the body (which gave it more travel) that helped out. We ended up finishing 2nd in our class. Only SAABs I saw were Bruce's car and Pascal's family's 9-5 wagon.
