That's a rather extensive mod, are you sure you can afford it?

jordan wrote:So I just got back from my search for getting my tires mounted. It seems like these guys just make up numbers...

Firestone: $150
Monro: $80
Midas: $100
Indyshop 1: didn't have machine capable mounting the Rs2s recommended Tire Depot
Tire Depot: $70...went with them.

I remember it cost me $40 dollars last time I got them done in Rochester. This is with empty cleaned rims and new tires all off the car. The tire depot actually looked like a pretty reputable shop since all they do is tires and wheels.
sam's club is like $10 each for a "seasonal tire swap"
"we changed a flat in 4 minutes, twice"
1994 9000 Aero (intake, stg 4 ecu, 3" TBE, clutch + broken trans mod) *sold*
2001 Subaru Outback Wagon *sold*
2006 Subaru WRX Wagon I'm back on boost!

We don't have Sam's down here. Remember, this is Connecticut. Stuff here is more expensive for no reason.

SON OF MOTHER BITCH...WHO THE !&@# USES 20 GUAGE SPEAKER WIRE AND WIRENUTS AND SPLICES ONE WIRE 4 DIFFERENT TIMES WITH 4 DIFFERENT GUAGE PIECES OF WIRE....

::end rant::

I am still working on the car and ended up pulling the whole fuse panel to clean it up and fix some of the wiring. I need to rewire the starter button and a portion of the ignition switch before I can even see if the dash lights are going to show up and the alternator is going to work. And it is supposed to snow tomorow.

haha, my 78 99 has had some... "creative" electrical work done to it in it's 500,000 miles, however I think that wins the prize.

When will people learn that wirenuts are NOT automotive grade components!!! It is not an alright thing to do, even for just temporary...

Autocross was cold and rainy but we had a blast driving! Saturday we had swapped some late style S&R springs (tarmac spec) onto jordans 99 and put some stock 900t springs on the back. The car handled awesome! The course was very slick but we had some fast times and lots of spectacular spins too. Great day other than the 34 degree wind driven rain when we had to work the course.
I took 3rd in H stock only .79 back from a MINI. Not bad for a 30 year old 100 HP car I never drove before :D

I think given the conditions we should be happy there were any photographers out there taking pictures. Did you make it home before all the snow started? what a mess this morning.

Well long story short... multiple accidents, multiple highway flooding areas and they closed down the merritt parkway in Greenwhich, so I had drive a while to find my way around it. There were spots before they closed the highway where I was going through water up to my doors. I was saying to myself...please don't in hydrolock...because you jinxed me before I left. :D

Oh and I forgot to mention I think my driver side ball joint is destroyed... I think it was clunking before I got there and we never had time to check it... now it sounds worse than your 900...could have had something to do with the car wanting to face in the wrong direction. :P
