Well I'll either be ballast or maybe to do 2 driver with you or Josh? or maybe a little bit of both while they arent looking?

Also I was thinking I have the sliders/adapters to snap in some corbeau seats to the stock mounts for the day, maybe we should do that?

edit: That wouldn't change your class right?

lol... fine with me... oh and I registered as a novice . So far there are 76 cars on the entry list, that's a lot!

Yeah that changes my class... depends on how picky they are going to be...

At my last auto-x, they were picky enough to put me and another MCS into STX class, because we had open air filter elements. And i STILL can't understand why we didn't rape the whole field with a huge advantage like that!

try showing up in a rally car with rally tires and saying, "I read your rules but I still have no idea where I should be classed. You do it for me"

One event I got put into some form of street class and cleaned up. Another one I got put into some fully prepared class and got spanked by this Yugo

Back with my 99 today... started it up... took a few minutes, but running smooth.

Still no dash lights and alternator is not charging....hope its just because of the dash lights, and am going to tackle some of the electrical mishaps tomorrow.

I checked the entry list..it is now up to 103 cars. Now in Novice class is an Evo 9...yay... and in H-Stock an 06 Mini Cooper... which just can't be right.

Ya, the new mini's have been dominating the H....and G?...stock since they've been out.

I might be out for this.....although at 103 cars i have to admit I am not that motivated at this point.

Autocross

Postby The Josh » Wed Apr 11, 2007 12:53 am

Hey guys,
The auto-cross should be a lot of fun this weekend. I must warn you, you will probably only getting at most 4 runs... The weather isn't looking too promising either, its supposed to rain here from today through the weekend.

I actually may be passing on it myself, I was invited to go to V.I.R. and work as part of a pit crew for a BMW race team for the weekend, so I'm waiting to hear the rest of the details from that and I will decide from there.

The mini Cooper is h-stock, and the Cooper S is g-stock. I'd expect the h-stock coopers to clean up easier than the g-stock coopers due to the fact that both cars (assuming the regular Cooper is equipped with optional sport suspension) have the same suspension setup, and the only thing setting them apart is about 50 HP.

I know they are h-stock...with a driving skill mod I'm sure the 99 could whoop them. :D

So I just got back from my search for getting my tires mounted. It seems like these guys just make up numbers...

Firestone: $150
Monro: $80
Midas: $100
Indyshop 1: didn't have machine capable mounting the Rs2s recommended Tire Depot
Tire Depot: $70...went with them.

I remember it cost me $40 dollars last time I got them done in Rochester. This is with empty cleaned rims and new tires all off the car. The tire depot actually looked like a pretty reputable shop since all they do is tires and wheels.
