Those are some long stages! Good luck, looks like a blast. Were you required to strip the bike down like that for transport, or does it just make the container smaller?

Is there any way you could get a car into your garage, looks like a comfortable work space.

I had to pull the front wheel, fender, and headlight to fit it in the crate. The navigation console is also folded backwards in order to fit in the crate. Smaller crate = less shipping cost. There is also a second set of wheels in the crate. The other photos just don't have the aux tanks and plastic mounted on the bike.

Hi Seth

Hope to get down to Hillaries Boat Harbour next Thursday afternoon for the start - good luck

Neil

p.s. If you are getting a taxi from the airport to Hillaries, try and share with someone or it may cost you AUD$100- !!

Luckily I am staying with another competitor. Got word today that my bike made it through customs succesfully and is ready for me to pick up on Monday. Look forward to meeting you next week. I have the only ktm in the race. There is another 690 but he is doing the adventure tour.

Arrived in Perth...now fighting to stay awake until tonight so I can get aligned with the clock a bit better. 30 hours in airplanes is too much. Australia is cool...figuratively and physically right now. It just down poured for 30 minutes and then the sun came out. Oh, and my friend has land rovers too. Also, all the Australians seem to be confused and are driving on the wrong side of the road  lots of cool old land cruisers driving around...have not seen a single Saab yet.

more later

He made it through tech and the ceremonial start. If there was ever a time to be serious....

Apparently the Prologue is tomorrow (this evening our time) which is a bunch of technical riding that determines your start order.

He had to change his class, because of his headlight........
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off :eyebrows:

Yeah my headlight and footpegs bumped me from showroom to production. Getting ready for a 250 mile van ride north.
