One of the best events of the year. At least around here.
Pretty good showing of the classics, but the "newer" one are now making more of an appearance.
Taken for the Northwest Saab Owners Club website:
"Folks it's almost time for the 6th annual Swedish Car Cruise-in at the Issaquah XXX Root Beer Drive-in restaurant. Last years event had almost 150 Saabs and Volvos and the Volvos always out number the Saabs so we need you and your Saab this year. Parking lot is usually full by noon so plan on arriving early. As a bonus this year Jorgen Trued, a SaabsUnited bloger and director and driver of the SaabsUnited Historic Rally Team will be attending in the morning. His flight home to Sweden departs SeaTac at 4:30 so be sure to speak with him in the morning.

I'll be there for sure. There a couple of people on this forum who could show up as well. Mezzanine, Hans, 99sven, sjones, IronJoe. Did I forget anybody?

I'm hoping to go.

As usually, lots and lots of volvos .. Dan Morley's blue '75 99 combicoupe, a cool 1960 93, a 96, a sonnet III and a handful of 900s making maybe 10 or 12 compared to maybe 20 or more volvos.

I took a few pictures (Flickr set, not comprehensive at all: http://www.flickr.com/photos/teamdrally ... 395417357/)
Saw some SaabRally nutjobs (but not Scott, whom I've not met so have no idea what he looks like!).
There were only two 99s: Dan M's daily driven, very clean '75 and Mike L's 78?/79?/80? 99 16VT conversion, former clubrally car, then autocross toy, now rarely driven toy.
Mike M's '86 'vert:
<Nigel Tufnel>It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.</Nigel Tufnel>

Great photo set. I didn't see that red 95, we got there about noon and had lunch.

If it were at a better time of year, I'd love to drive up for it. Looks like a lot of fun.

I did see the Testarossa. Not my type of espresso drink. I did like the fact it was relegated to park in the outskirts of the lot. There was a red Lotus Evora. Bitchin' lines on that car. Dead sexy.
Add some pixs to complement the other posted.

Well all the choice weekends have been taken since the club started only 6 years ago. It is a lot of fun. Catching up with old friends and making new ones.
Even have special guests.

It was great that Jörgen made it over. Very nice guy and he seemed pretty interested in your car. You can't blame him for that though. Btw, the picture just reminded me of how tall he was. Typical Swedish...

I thought I recognized him but just assumed it was someone that looked like him. Cool that he was there .. but was there another reason why he was in the area? :)

He is a good friend of Travis Decker owner of Atomic Auto. Travis introduced him to me and said you have got to take a look at my car. . To that he proclaimed that we are nuts over here in the States...
Travis drove him and is partner up from Portland to see the show, and catch a flight out of Seatac to get back home.
