SAABs at Carlise May 19th

Postby Luke » Fri Apr 20, 2007 3:15 pm

Thinking of finally going this year, this will of course hinge on the rally car being ready for STPR by then. Anybody else planning at attending? Also its 3 days? What day are the main events? Saturday?

-Luke

I'm planning on going... but haven't registered yet.

Pre registration ends April 26 or else its a bit more expensive.

saturday is the day to be there if you can only be there one day. looks like we are going to have a massive caravan arriving at carlisle friday night, theres a thread on saablink about it, and a couple other groups that are heading there from different places. you should definitely come, the best times are typically had saturday night, we are usually the only people left on the showfield, usually till 1-2am or untill the golfcart police kick us out  ya should definitely come though, its one of, if not the best event of the year in my opinion.

YA, This will be my 3rd year going to this event and I agree with Paul....it's probably one of the best Saab events of the year. I'd say it tops the Owners Convention because usually the # of saabs show up equils (close to it) the convention and it doesn't cost $100+ to "show" your car.

I have yet to stay there saturday night....but I know even friday night was a blast too.

It is right around the corner from STPR though; I can understand if you arn't ready for STPR you will need the weekend to finish up for that race.

As one might expect, it will depend on whether any of the racecars need fixing. I won't be preregistering... It will have to be a last minute thing.
