So we got back last night. Weather was great and the course was awesome. A few hiccups at the end, but overall a great event. I'm waiting for pics and videos to surface on the net. I have a few I have to offload that I will post.

Pascal was busy prepping his car, but we still managed to have 4 classic SAABs run and complete the event.

The ITB 900 with Trionic ran flawlessly although we had a bit of a scare with the upper chain guide making some nasty noises early on. Sorted that out and it ran some really fast times.

I drove my 99, which drove out to the event, ran the piss out of and then drove home. Only incident I had was the taper pin holding the gear selector shaft in vibrated out on the last run leaving me with just second gear. No biggie. Car still needs some fine tuning, but it handles great. It was definitely a crowd favorite as well as being the fastest in the vintage class.

Josh Menke brought up the "will-not-die" 900 4dr Lemons car. It had a couple of outings, a cracked head pipe, broken fuel rail (all unrelated), but still would not die. Josh also set some fast times.

George Beland brought a stock 900T 4dr. A total hillclimb novice he improved by leaps and bounds over the two days. His only issue was a rusty exhaust pipe finally giving way. Solution:remove exhaust.

Kip Moncrief ran out of SAABs to drive, so he brought a Miata which set some blistering times in as well.

Also, to be mentioned, Kip's uncle Jim, long time SAAB racer drove his V12 600SL Merc and put it through its paces. Other than a few "you're driving too fast warning lights" he drove home in cool climate controlled comfort while also setting some very fast times.

pics and vids to follow!

By the way, the first photo is how the car looked when it came to the event!
