I know I'm about the only one in the South West on here, but thought I'd share this event that the California Rally Series is hosting.

Cheap $120 2-day saturday Rally / Rally-X school and Sunday Rally-X. I'm registered to take the '79 EMS, should be an excellent learner car with the modest power and modest suspension improvements that it came with. I'm really excited. The Rally-X on Sunday also seeds the season points brackets. A club member is going with me in his 9-3SS.

It's way up in Bumfuck nowhere in Ridgecrest, CA, sort of right between Las Vegas and Bakersfield, about 60 miles northwest of Barstow.

There's a bunch of Golf GTI's and Imprezas. Looks like the only cool older cars right now are an '85 RX-7, a '91 Sentra SE-R, and a VW Corrado.

I really dig that format, Sat School, Sun Race. Definitely a cool concept.
