Now that's a good solid failure right there. What clutch are you using on that car again?

I have some Gopro footage from friday and Saturday. I have to get them onto a computer for some editing before I get them uploaded.

It's too bad you guys had all those problems. The only semi-clean stage you had (6) we tied with you (within 0.4sec). We were still getting used to the car at that point (and you got stuck in traffic) and if you chaps hadn't had your failure we could have had a good battle going by the end of the event!
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off :eyebrows:

Yeah, stage 6 we didn't have any technical issues but we did lose a lot of time, we caught a car in about 6 miles meaning we were about 10 seconds a mile faster than that team, so we lost about 40 seconds over the next 4 miles :(

Impressive to say the least. I'm surprised to see that on a gravel rally. The tires really need to hook up to transfer that kind of load.

The roads were pretty hard pack clay in areas. We saw cars lock up brakes and leave black tire marks on the road there was so much traction.

That expains it. Looking closer at the pix with the car on the side if the road it looks like pavement. Soft grippy tires, shock loads, and good engine torque would snap a part that was originally designed for 90 ft-lbs of torque.

The Michelin/BFG/Michelin rally tires we run are very grippy. The rubber feels rock hard when you start driving on them but once they warm up they get very pliable and offer insane traction. We also run a very large size...combine 280hp at the wheels with a sticky large rolling diameter tire, a long climb at max acceleration....

280hp , but lots more torque... the original post was around here somewhere.. I think it was actually 298hp... but that was also intercooled..
