Re: STPR?
There was some buzz about Luke making a last ditch effort to get the car together for a walk up registration. But he became a homeowner recently and I believe he has his hands full at the moment.
I would be down to crew for the team again if I can get at least a little notice.

Re: STPR?
The car needs a new engine. The pistons have arrived, I dropped a block off this past weekend, I think Luke has the rods or they are on order. The parts are all there or on the way so if we get the engine together in time we plan on just running the regional rally on Saturday. It cuts the cost of the weekend down considerably and we can pay the entry on arrival. It will be more of a shakedown for the new engine.

I think he took this week off...some of that time was going to be spent on the new motor...but I have not heard anything either. I did get my new seat though

Re: STPR?
We will not be at STPR this year (2014). Though we were working on a new engine build we ran into a few issues that prevented the original build direction. Decided to wait, source a better part, and do a proper build in prep for the next event. There is still Maine, Rally West Virginia, Black River Stages, and several Canadian events to consider.

Is Luke going to STPR for the one day?
Get em all running for Maine and I'll come out and see em. Been thinking about it anyway.
I was referring to the new engine Luke was building for his car...but it affects the engine I was working on for my car. We both had the forged VW flat top pistons and thought they didnt look very forged. It turns out that they still refer to them as forged pistons even though they stopped forging them about 10 years ago. We have decided to get a nice set of custom pistons instead and do a proper build around them.
My car could be done by Maine but if I can get the paint done soon.

New engine slowly being built. Home ownership and life getting in the way. Tentative plans for a later ec ent this year.
