Re: News from STPR
my goal is to have the land rover series III/discovery/defender hybrid on the road for towing bikes to BRS...Right now I have a 5 speed for it and it looks like I may be running a Buick V6....aluminum block basically the same block as a rover V8 but with 2 cylinders chopped off. Very tunable engine.
I am the 73%

Is that like the 3800 series? Leanne had one of those on her Buick Park Avenue Although it is probably not the all aluminum one.
edit: you should get one of these.

Re: News from STPR
man those pictures are hard to look at Luke, if you need help, like Delorean said, we have a 20lb sledgehammer you can borrow
so did you have the in-car camera running for the event or had that not made its way into the new car yet? bet that would be some interesting footage.

For what it's worth here are my pics:

Move this discussion into the land rover thread, I want to talk about it, but don't want to hijack this thread.

Re: News from STPR
what a way to break in the new car! Don't worry, it gives the car charracter. Is this Lukes first rollover? And how many rallyies has he competed in?
Per, how did your gearbox hold up?

Hey, it was Lukes 4th roll, and his first rally
Just kidding, 4th year of rallying, first crash/roll.

Re: News from STPR
The gearbox is fine, it's the engine mounts that keep loosening up. Now the L one is bolted down with with a nyloc, double nut and thread locker.
