Yep, at my parents place in Elkins Park they got a solid 3 feet, and there was as much as 8 feet in drifts  Up here in NEPA, the most we have gotten this winter is 6 inches. I have had to shovel once. I am moving down to Georgia soon.

The real bear is that farmers almanac is predicting another significant snowstorm for Feb, and 40 inches for March. They are also calling for a significant storm in early April. I for one am pretty tired of shoveling. Between the house and the shop, I have had my share. I measured the snow in the yard last night, and after some melting and settling is still 19 inches deep.

My 85 900 is burried deep in the snow, and I put the 86 notchback in the garage just in time to keep her from being burried in the mounds of snow from plowing the parking lot. There is 2 halves of a 17 foot Macgregor Venture in there too. It's functional but not ideal. I don't know where to put any more snow!

You guys are a bunch of wimps.
We've had a mild winter and there's about 24" of snow in the yard right now, all except the scant 8" we got yesterday is settled, thawed, and re-frozen enough so I can walk on top without post holing. We'll typically get 1/2" a night and one or two days a week where we get 6 to 12". We also get a few "big" storms (18"+) a year. A few years back we got 12' in about a week and a half.

And people wonder why I don't get much car work done in the winter. :dunno:

Well, finally starting to get some thawing! Hoping to really start digging into projects soon and less digging into snow.

Heres the shop the other day, can't wait for spring:

The crazy thing is I can see the grass on my front lawn. There is more snow in the mountains here still...and we can still get dumped on in March or April.

same here, should near 70 tomorrow, and all next week. The salts been gone now for over a week and there is not a snow pile to be seen, cept the big black ones in the mall parking-lots.

ha, there's hardly any snow where I work but 20 or so miles north where I live there's still a few feet in the yard. Yesterday it rained (following 2" of sleet) and this morning on my way to work I saw a bunch of tire tracks crossing themselves on black ice accompanied by overturned snow and bumper shrapnel on the side of the road. Maybe those buffoons will learn to buy snow tires now!

We had our first autocross here today. I'm so glad that the cold is over.... even if our cold was nothing compared to what some of you have/had.

How long you had to stay there until it thawed enough so you could walk again?
