Well I guess we can agree at this point that any company that is going to revive an unwanted company such as Saab, is going to do so in a way that will suck every ounce of innovation and character out of the company and operate only for pure profit and nothing else. Then dump it, and leave it for the next "investor" to come along

Maybe. Rover and Jaguar, BMW, etc have all been bought and sold amongst others. Rover is currently owned by the Indian company Tata and so far they are holding their own. http://www.tatamotors.com/
