86 SPG as Hillclimber?

Postby 99Super » Mon Nov 21, 2011 3:47 pm

Would anyone be offended if I started tearing up my 86 SPG to turn into a dedicated Hillclimber?
I wanted to make it a Propowski-esque street car, but there is body damage, the interior is thrashed and I'll never have the time or money to make it really nice.
It's heavier than my 99 but I'll have P/S and more room for mods in the engine bay.
It already has better springs/shocks/brakes/wheels, I just need to gut what I can for DSP or SMF, build a new engine and install my extra LSD. Most of that I could get done over the winter, then do the cage.

Any thoughts?

No no no!

Just kidding. I'd say go for it, more 900 race cars around here will make me feel better about not having a 99!
