THE 'MAD' ENGLISH.....

Postby BIRDIEMANGO » Thu Apr 04, 2013 12:58 am

OK,YOU GUYS,I KNOW WE ARE NO ''STRANGER'' TO LAND/WATER SPEED RECORDS EITHER SIDE OF THE POND........

I ONLY LIVE AN HOUR AND HALF FROM 'LAKE CONISTON'.....LAKE DISTRICT,UK.I SPEND A LOT OF TIME UP THAT WAY........

I HAVE A MASSIVE 'LIMITIED EDITION' PRINT ON THE WALL OF 'CAMPBELL ON CONISTON' HITTING AN ESTIMATED 250 MPH,CHRISTMAS DAY 1966.......

I BECAME INTERESTED IN ALL THIS 'MADNESS' WHEN I WAS GROWING UP,SO THIS MOST RECENT RESURGANCE........I THOUGHT,WOULD BE AN IDEAL PLATFORM TO GET MY SON INTERESTED A LITTLE MORE,IN THE ENGINEERING SIDE OF THINGS TO COME........?

ARE THERE ANY PLANNED ATTACKS ON THE 1000MPH LAND SPEED RECORD IN THE STATES?

The USA Saabrally crew should get together and build a C900 with a couple engines from an SR71 Blackbird.

I had a pipe dream about going 200 in a C900 once...
