Denver area Saab engine builder

Postby 87 n/a » Sun Apr 21, 2013 7:34 pm

Anyone know who might have been building hi-powered c900 engines in the Denver area back in the day? By back-in-the-day, I mean before T5.
Spoke with a guy earlier today who says his c900 motor was built in Denver by someone who used 7 red-top injectors (3 extra in the intake runners). Supposedly dyno'd at 365hp.

He destroyed 2nd gear and the ECU fried, now it is just a basket case that no one can work on.
Any direction on who the Denver builder might be?

No, I don't think it was Brad in KC. This thing apparently ran 28psi at altitude in Denver, but de-tuned to 20psi boost for sea level.

Could have been East of Sweden in Broomfield.

I googled East of Sweden and saw they changed hands in 2007. I suspect the engine was built prior to that. Also sad to see that one of the employees was murdered in the shop just last fall.

Geez, an employee was murdered in the shop last fall? That was around the time my sister was living about a block away and taking my old SPG in there for tranny work...
