Wheel Whores Anonymous

Postby SwedeSport » Tue Apr 23, 2013 4:26 pm

I'll get the ball rolling,...

My name is Swedesport... And I am a Wheel Whore.

I counted 11 wheel/tire combinations for 114.3 bolt pattern, and 2 for 108.

And yet I can't stop shopping for more...

4 Kumho Ecsta XS on Black Shelbys
4 Gislaved snows on 88+ 15 spokes
4 SaabOMotives with Pirelli Rally tires (manholes)
4 Steelies with generic all season tires (multiple center cap, lug nut and trim ring choices)
4 XXR 527 wheels with Hoosier A6.
4 Incas with Firestone Winterforce tires (in progress)
4 early steelies, 6 slot. widening these to 7 inches for my 99
4 9000 deep dish 15 spokes will get 165 SR 15 whitewalls when refinished.
4 Drag wheels 17X7 with Kumho Ecsta MX tires
4 Panasport 15x6.5 with Bridgestone Eager radials
4 Manhole cover wheels that I would like to mount studded ice race tires on.
4 15 spokes with 2 Falken rt215s for the rear, and rt615s for the front.
4 15 spokes that will get 4 Federal 565RSR

Some of these choices are still works in progress, and others are ready to go. Always looking for more too!

Pretty sure Luke has me beat already...

I don't have pics of all my wheels in one place, nor do I have pics of every option.

Here is a recent set I put together. Slightly darker silver, with my typical polished lip. These are getting Falken Azenis tires mounted on them. I got some used rt215s that Ill run on the rear, and a new set of rt615s to put on front. Ill use these as a knockaround autocross combo that should be just slightly grippier in the front. Should make things interesting.

There is another complete set that are being freshened for some Federal 565RSRs. Not sure of color scheme yet, but Im sure it will be a little unconventional like most everything I do to my car. Again it will have a polished lip.

My wheel collection is not as impressive as it once was, but I still have a quite a few.

4 sets of shelbies
3 sets of minilites
1 set Ronal silverspokes
1 set panasport "pro rally"
1 set Inca's
3 sets of soccerballs

That's just what is off of cars, most have some form of half spent rally tire mounted on them at the moment.

Do you have a pair of the 6 slot wheels pictured on the front of MattWatson's SPG above?

I could use a pair of them.
