Anyone interested in trying to do a little saabrally meet up and do some junkyarding sometime in the near future?
I know people are probably busy around this time of year, but I was talking to gmreider because I need to get some parts to him and thought I'd see if anyone was interested in doing a junkyard run before the weather turns really nasty. I only really need a few random things but I'm usually interested just to see what else is around at a junkyard. I figured we could go get a hot meal somewhere after a day outside depending on where we would go and what's nearby.
Any takers? Certainly open to suggestions on when and where to go...

We can go anytime, down your way or up here. I could easily put a route together where we could hit say 3 different yards. weekdays tend to work better for me, as... well, I'm already there!

Cool, I would certainly be up for hitting a few different spots. Weekdays are ok for me, my usual weekend is monday/tuesday but I'm sure I could switch that around if people would rather do something like a friday instead.

I've been meaning to head out to PA for a junkyard run as 900 parts in nyc are scarce. I can't make dec 15 but maybe another day?

This could be fun. So many Saab junkies in one junkyard. All fighting over the carcasses of the 2-3 cars in the yard.

Cool sounds like there is some interest.
Since it may be easier for people to take a Friday off should we see about December 13 (as unlucky as that would be)?

Works for me! I can even direct toward yards that have certain things in them. Hutch, There are several options, down your way, up my way, or down in / around either Philly or Baltimore. Or up near the southern tear in NY, or down in Gettysburg... etc etc...
A good run for a day near me? Hit either the A-Z U pull it near Hamburg PA or the greebles U pull it, then the Joes E-Z pull in Newringgold PA, and Harrys U pull it in Hazleton. We'd see hundreds of cars, and many many Saabs. We would need to have an early start! and people are welcome to stay over at our place the night before.

Re: PA Winter Junkyard Meet
Well I'm just looking for some pretty boring stuff, a few 9-3 things, some Trionic spares, and of course if theres any cool or useful 900 parts that would be a bonus for the day. I'm sure you know what Saab heavy ones there are so if anyone is looking for something in particular and you know where they may find it we can head that way.
If anyone has any requests for what part of the state to go to I'm all ears. My vote would be a route like you described there, I would be fine with just going to two of them if we don't feel like spending a ton of time driving around. But like I said I'm fine with suggestions, if anyone is further away and just wants to meet at the ones close to them that'd be fine too I would think.
Is the 13th good for anyone else? I'm not dead set on that by any means so we can certainly be flexible.

Friday 13th seems good for me. At the very least, I could get the exhaust parts from Hutch even if I could not spend the whole day.

I should be able to make that work.
Hutch... bring the flares... I'll bring your stripes.
