I just put in for the day at work. Do any of you guys have a battery powered grinder I could use? I need to cut off a good fender should we find one.

So what yards does everyone want to stop at?

I like Delorean's route, depending on what I find at the others and what the weather is like I may skip the Hazleton one as its the opposite direction to home but I'm certainly up for suggestions if anyone wants to suggest others or a different route. I also still like the idea of grabbing some dinner afterwards to get out of what will likely be pretty cold weather.

And what time? It sounds like we'll have a few NY people so we probably don't want to try to meet up at like 6am...

Jeff's route is fine although the last time I was at A to Z it was way overgrown with weeds and devoid of any C 900 Saab's worth picking. Joe's would be a must and I would probably also not run up to Hazelton and back. Mostly I would like to connect with Hutch to pickup some exhaust he has and meet some of you guys that I have not met.
Are people bringing any swap or for sale parts?
Weather will be the issue, so we may need an indoor visit contingency plan.

I plan to ride with Gary if he doesn't protest. Maybe I am getting old, but I like to be done with yardin' by early afternoon. That is unless I come across some holy grail part that I absolutely need to have.

As far as the contingency plan, any local diner can get us out of the cold for a cup of coffee or something.

I don't mind snow or cold so much, but rain and wind can get miserable. We can play it by ear.

Well, I can hit up a few yards a few days beforehand so I can let people know what Saab cars are where. I think yard #1 should be Joes, this is at -

http://www.joesusedautoparts.com/EZPull.html

We can all meet up there, PM me for my cell, or just go there and look for the Saabs. They open at 9:00 so we should all shoot for being there by then.

Bad weather does not deter me, so I will be there rain or shine, snow or not.

After that, We can all run off to another yard, or maybe a couple other yards depending on time. There are about 6 different yards within an hours drive from Joes. If we are quick and play it smart we could easily make it a 3 yard day. Prices at Joes are as good as you'll find anywhere these days. Personally I plan on NOT being done by early afternoon. I have been accused of making a day of junkyarding into a "death march" - so if you don't want to go yarding all day, you can always head out before I am done  Since the yards are on "winter hours" we will be done by 4:00 regardless, as the majority close by then, at the latest 5:00, so we won't be out working past diner time. I wish they would light them up like they do ski slopes so we could!

Like that's a bad thing? Mike and I may be there pending work schedules.

Jeff, we will need to wake up early and not screw around too much in the am.

Since i'm coming from queens I will do the best that I can to get down there reasonably early - however realistically i might not get there until 10 given the usual traffic getting out of NYC.

No problem, I think a trip to Joes should last us till at least noon before we go to another yard!

I think it's gonna be a decent turnout.

I just heard from a Saab Guy I met at Carlisle last year. Some of you may know him, Joe Folino. He sent me a message this morning indicating a desire to tag along.

I hope there is enough parts to go around...

There will be plenty of parts around, don't worry about that.

I already got all the good ones anyway ;)
