I can usually tell when you have been there... There is not a single ECU left in the yard.

Haha good point, at least you will know what the inventory in the various yards is like.

Maybe we should start listing what we're looking for something in particular so we a) know if the yards may have what we're looking for and b) know ahead of time what we're going to have to fight over

I'm really only looking for some random 9-3 stuff so I doubt I'll be fighting anyone over parts but I may grab some c900 suspension or brake parts if the right car is there...

I can tell when Luke has been there, because all the 99 windshields are missing, and strange body panels are gone! Any Saab stuff that is there I will default to anyone that actually needs it, they get first dibs. I have lots of saab shit...

Lol... I need to collect some of the parts to complete my T5 swap in the sedan.

Otherwise I am always on the hunt for accessories, wear items, and trim pieces. Only a few things I actually currently need, but I need to keep looking for the oddball parts on my wishlist.

A big part of this trip for me is just getting out to hang with a few other SAAB junkies.

I'm picking up a cheap grinder tomorrow from home depot. I plan to solder on a quick connector to run off a car battery like the guy in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCcbnNtyfyU

Cold and snowy, I made the mistake of plowing the driveway today around 3:30 and now its a giant sheet of ice  . Friday is supposed to be ok though, sunny with a low of 12* o_O .

It's ~50*F and sunny here today. I saw at least 3 people walking around at lunch time wearing 400 weight Northface down jackets.

And a woman next to me at lunch exclaiming how freezing cold it was, and how she couldn't believe people were walking around in T-shirts and driving with their windows down (I was wearing a T-shirt).

I hate it here.

It's supposed to be nice on Friday for the junkyard crawl... about 30. There is a few inches of snow on the ground, and it's gonna stay below freezing all week.

Make sure to be prepared for the weather. Pick up a pack of Hot Hands warming pads. They can really put out a fair amount of heat. And they last all day.

Alright so everyone is still good to go for Friday? I just got a message from gmreider and he mentioned saturday so I just wanted to make sure everyone is on the same page and we don't show up on different days.

I could probably do saturday but could only stay for an hour or two before I'd have to leave to get into work but I figured if those that are traveling from further away probably couldn't switch days around as easily.

I thought the plan was to do this on Friday the 13th?

I can work it either way, but lets just solidify the plan.

Sorry I got Hutch confused on the Friday / Saturday thing. I was in for Friday, but must have been thinking of what I had to do on Saturday. Please excuse a senior citizen !! See you all on Friday the 13th.
