Help-900 SPG spring size

Postby TurboBudapest » Fri Oct 03, 2014 12:43 am

Hello everyone,

I am restoring a 1985 SPG, and am doing a complete rebuild of the suspension. All parts are to be sand blasted and powder coated.

Does anyone know how tall the springs front and back are uncompressed?

My Indy mechanic wants me to restore the springs rather than replace-I like the idea. Apparently there is a company here that has a process of restoring springs to original spec using heat and mechanical stress. They can restore the spring to the original length if it has been stretched or coressed over time.

Many thanks in advance for any help!

Ed

I have to say I just love saabrally. Great info and constructive discussions. The other site for 900 og are just train wrecks. They have volume, but the noise to content ratio is off the charts.
Thank you all who post content to this site.
