I kind of want to get one just because it's available...

Paul had one on the race car, these have been out there for about a year now. Firstly, they need finishing work. The holes drilled in the log are about 1/2 the size as the diameter of the pipe they welded on. Also, "welding" is a loose term. There was at least one weld that was incomplete. Also, I think it lasted 2 events till there were several cracks in the thing. It's currently sitting in my scrap pile if anyone wants it.

170$ with gaskets? How could you go wrong? I just spent 1000$ on raw material U bends for my header.

The price is right for what it is, definitely needs finishing work, but I think its more or less cheaper than what you could get the materials for to build one yourself. Mine is all jacked up from running up the hills with stupid retarded ignition timing, causing what I presumed were erroneously high EGT's (seemingly they weren't). Considering the abuse, it held up well.
