Last weekend I swapped in a new TD04 with the larger 'king cobra' air intake, not sure I notice the slightest difference but it doesn't burn any oil and the wastegate isn't stuck shut anymore so thats a bonus.

And today I got the resonator cut out of the Viggen at a local muffler shop. Its nice and quiet at idle and not as raspy as the Saabsport was but has a nice burble when you put your foot into it.

In 900 land I'm waiting for my antique plates to come in so I can start driving it again.

Verifying my cad layout. Check clearance between the hump cutout and the ring gear.

Scanwest? There has been lots of inquiries for diff covers on facebook. I have a diff cover that I started a couple of years ago that I was going to use a section from a 2-1/2" 90 degree elbow for the protrusion. What do you use?

Scanwest, you guessed it. :dunno:
Seems like we are on the same track for the hump covers. I use a U bend as you are able to get two parts out of the one tube.

My first crack at a cover. I built this to support the Quaife LSD install.

I've used that technique many times before cutting metal. Reverse engineering

Yes, sending unit to an in cabin gauge. I manually switch on the trans cooler pump when she starts getting hot. I could tap off it to feed signal to the ECU and that would command off and on of the pump. For now I simply monitor it.

What temperatures are you seeing?

I installed a probe this Spring and haven't seen the temperature go past 200 F which is hotter than the engine oil is running.

Of course my car isn't making big power so there isn't big heat.

About 180F I kick it on. Cruising on the freeway I see a constant 160F. I actually only use the pump when I have pretty good load on the engine or it is super hot outside like 100F ambient.

The last race weekend we saw some pretty good temps between 210-220 F with the cooler.

Jordan, what pump do you use to circulate the transmission fluid?

Although I think we are going to want power steering back and will get a tilton pump at some point.

You didn't ask, but I use a mocal diff pump. Low volume and plenty of positive head. Exactly what the trans cooler needs. The mocal and tilton look exactly the same.

Dennis, any photos of your set up? Do you have a part number for the Mocal Diff pump? Do you run an in-line filter? I have heard the Tilton pumps are loud, is the Mocal also loud?
thanks

I got mine from BAT inc awhile a go. Check their website for the part. It is noisey being a diaphragm pump has a pretty solid harmonic buzz. 10Hz? Definitely hear it at idle. WOT not so much.
I do have a remote filter. Permacool and it accepts the same filter as the engine.

Jon, we have a Mocal diff pump in our lemons car. Got it from Racer Parts wholesale. about $180.00 less a10 percent discount if you are an SCCA member.
I will look for my installation pictures. They are a little noisy , but I was pleased with the unit. I used a ATF inline filter with a magnet inside and then into the cooler and back to the trans. I dump the fluid into a modified side cover on the trans. I'll find the pictures soon and post.
