I like this seller a lot. This description could be used for almost everything Saab related that I've accumulated over the years.
Craigslist seller wrote:This is a feeler. I have a very rough flat-nose SPG that I purchased basically to save from someone else potentially scrapping it. I have no need for the car, although I may want to keep the SPG-specific items, remove the engine & trans, and then sell just the shell if anyone is interested. The car has very high mileage, but it was actually driving better than the "good" SPG I own (which itself has done over 255k). The body has some clean bits, but there is severe rust by the lower control arms up front. I don't know how the car can possibly still feel as solid as it does. I do have a mild concern that the car, which is suspiciously alluring to me, is possessed and casting some sort of electromagnetic spell rendering those near it stupefied so that it can possess them as a host to retain its apparent mechanical youthfulness for eternity. Sort of like the John Malkovich movie. Predictably, I feel this effect less now that the battery is dead.
The car has a salvage title and mileage that rounds up to 400k. But these are getting rare and it's worth something. Why did I buy the thing? I couldn't tell you. Why do you want it? Beats me. But if you need a car like this, give me a call, or an email if you prefer an element of detachment. I like looking at this car and I don't need the money right now, so I won't sell this to some random person looking to take the valuable parts and scrap the body. Seriously, how deranged does that sound when you read it out loud? If you have a legitimate use for this vehicle, which I deem worthy, I will be happy to work something out with you.
Peace,
Evan

Must be 99 season...
I think their definition of 'zero rust' is a little off, and that price is a little high since it needs a motor and its an auto, but could be a fun daily driver with some work...

Wow, the blue and green cars both have some of the nicest interiors I've seen in a while. And Chip's still kicking the 99's around! Very cool. He's bought I think 2 cars from me and driven them back up North.
