Per, I was teasing you, commitment meaning "pedal to floor", usually used when wrecking car, "well it's still drivable, I lacked commitment and backed off had I been truly committed the car would be destroyed"... Also used when rolling car, proper rolling educate is to return vehicle to wheels anything less is lacking in commitment-also known as lacking speed and or attack!! ;)

gotcha. I'm a little sore about the decision to sell the car. I'd like to keep it, but it just doesn't make sense at this time in my life.

If I had any money... This would be very tempting. I'm not setup to go rallying at the moment but with all the safety stuff done it would be an easy conversion to go vintage road racing. There's a guy who runs a 99 now (Len Schrader) who has quite a bit of fun with the car. It would be reliable as all get out as we all know, in the right hands SAABs frequently go faster than anyone expects. Its a good fit with things like 510s and other vintage sedans.

A couple of my pics of Len and his 99 from an event last fall...

Just after a smoky brake lockup cause the dang Porsche broke (braked?) too early:

This will probably earn a few groans, but I would take a pre-2001 Subaru Impreza in partial trade...

The Saab is still here...all ready to go. I might be tempted by a lower reasonable offer.

All I need is an XL seat and to mount it as far back and down as possible.

As long as it's FIA approved foam...
