Shelby Center Caps and Lug Nuts

There was some potential for an experiment to see if I could pull a mold and reproduce these. No progress has been made on the center caps, but the decals to replicate the emblem in the center have been produced.


Stay tuned to this thread in the event that I can make a mold, and produce a run.


On another note, I have received payment from a few of those who wanted the decals, I will be sending them out this week. Keep your eyes peeled as they should arrive via your mailbox.

My decals showed up this morning, they look great! Thanks to SwedeSport for fronting the money. I got a set to throw in the tool box for the day I start losing the logos off mine (hopefully long in the future).

I plan to use my off-center practice ones on my laptop, tool box, and other cool places around my work area... for motivational purposes of course.

I have a bunch of the OE Shelby caps, broken ears and all. I may have a full set of NEW lug nuts for them as well.

I have at least 3 sets of 8-spoke wheels. I suppose I should get rid of some as I doubt I will need that many. None are in good condition as far as looks, but I'm pretty sure they are all round and straight.

Im still hunting for a nice cap to try to pull a mold from. Id like to try to reproduce them in resin. The tabs can be gone, but the visible part of the cap needs to be in nice shape.

I have located a couple decent caps in the garage. They have made it into a box and into the car, but not to the Post Office yet.

The center caps you sent out arrived a few weeks ago. Thank You! They are different than what I was expecting, but there is no reason I can't try to make a mold for both styles. I have all the time in the world to work on the project right now, but funds are tight at the moment. Not only is the center cap project on hold,... everything in my shop is stalled right now. Hopefully I can get back to it in short order.

Here are both styles of caps, and both styles of decals. The diameters are different on each. The Saab Scania emblems fit the plastic center caps that go with the steel winter wheel package. I see no reason why I couldnt produce them to fit the Shelby style wheels if anyone was interested. I already make the blue ones in various sizes, including one to cover the hood emblem. I make em for the center cap on the EMS steering wheel, and a variety of other sizes.

I still have a few sets of the black decals that fit the hexagonal caps.

I have a bunch of blue emblems as well.
