I need a good 1-2 shift fork for a 1992 900 classic box (1991-1994 i.e. 8728552). Can anyone help?

I have a box full of parts (might not be too much better than yours but I will look), is there a part # or something on there that I can identify the one you need by?

Cool thanks Drew :) I'll sort out a decent photo and any numbers in a bit.

Only number I can see looks like a manufacturing date code rather than part number, it's a 2 surrounded by dots (1992, month 10?), it's very very feint.
It attaches to a shift rod, although don't necessarily need that:

While I'm on a scavenger hunt, anyone got an inner race for the pinion end cluster shaft needle bearing? Mine's toast
I'm sorted for the bearing and thrust washer.

I should have some good used forks, I'll have to look. I also have new syncros for the later boxes, 8728461 x2 and 8719924 x1. I also have new inner race and needle bearing assemblies, check the number on the inner race, it should be INA F-209823 2 Germany 02/E3.

Definitely interested, Dave :) Although 8719924 is for earlier boxes? What would you be looking for the various bits? That's the correct inner race etc.
