Another low mileage 99 this time a Sienna Brown '76 GL. Half the claimed miles of the '75 LE at roughly 17k miles:

To continue the 99 trend...
I feel like I remember seeing this car up for sale before but who knows.

Lots of paperwork and receipts included. Fuel tank has been refreshed and a new pump is installed. I have 2 engines that will go with the car. 1 has a scored crank from a broken connecting rod (original engine). The second engine that is in the car I purchased as "running" only to find out after I installed it that the timing gear is off the crank... Had big plans but beginning to lose interest as I lost my garage space... Killing me to sell it because I want to drive it in the worst way but I have no time to give to it and this car deserves a lot more. New brakes all around, 500 miles on them with receipts to prove (23 years ago!) This car was in dry storage for 24 years. This car is complete minus an exhaust and clutch slave cylinder/clutch pressure line. Send me a message, lets talk.

I have owned many 99s since 1980 and offer the following opinions. The '75 with 32k on it is a gem except for the awful BW35. The '76 GL grossly overpriced. The '76 GLE has interesting provenance and is rare but has that BW35 and rust. The 79 GL is an overpriced project.

surprisingly clean looking. Cannot go too wrong for $300. Scrap value is around $150 to $200. This car needs a valve cover but I bet with a little work someone could have it running. worst case you swap a 4 speed in and have a relatively cheap 99 to play with.
not me though...

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread
Ya know, the auto was really not that bad. I've had 2 (75 LE and 78 GLE), and the addition of a set of headers perks them up nicely. A can of BG ATC works wonders for cleaning up a finicky trans.
I DO want the blue 79, but 5K is right out.

I'd scoop up that $300 one, but my 900 auto>manual conversion is already on hold.

Re: Craigslist / Fleabay / Blocket.se / Kijiji / Thread
Any thoughts on a good price for the blue 79?
I've been seriously thinking about it as it would save me a ton of work vs any of my other chassis. It's already already a great color and that's my favorite interior.
What are some of the opinions out there?
John
