I think its a badass car and totally agree that not having to deal with body work is worth its weight in gold but thats a premium price for a car thats sat for decades and doesn't run. But who knows, hopefully he comes to his senses and you can scoop it up for a cool project

Well, after some negotiations with the owner, Michael, I've decided to pass on the car.
He's dropped the price to $4K, which is still a bit steep, but I think this would be a great project for someone.
I'm going to throw the money at one of the cars I already have...

At first glance I thought this car looked amazingly clean and well sorted. The photos look very professional and the interior looks very well done. Overall the car is probably very good...however there are a couple of photos...like around the vin badges...where you can tell it was repainted and they taped the badges. There are also a few spots where it looks like the paint didnt get into and there is signs of rust...would make me very wary that I might be buying an expensive car with a paint job covering issues.

I saw the same thing around the tag with the paint code, but in the description it does say that the car was re-sprayed in "the factory color," but could still be some rust. Looks like a good body buy had some time with it too, I don't think the 96's had panels that smooth right off the assembly line....

The photos make it look really great, and the interior looks amazing. Very cool car.
