The 99 GLE parts car I had was a 5 speed.

Vast majority in US were autos, no?

Yes, I've never seen an unmodified GLE that wasn't an Auto or didn't have power steering. I have a 78 GLE 5-door.
A 99 GLE w/ 5-speed would have been modified. No US 99's were 5-speeds.

Sorry I meant 4-speed.
Anyway, I know of two 4-speed 5 door 99s, that GLE parts car I had and a friend's GL in CT.
Neither car had power steering.

I think all of the automatic 99's came with power steering.
I am the 73%

Ben,
I had a 77 5-door 99 GL 4-speed, but I always understood the GLE's were auto/PS. Interesting that that GLE isn't. :dunno:

That said, years ago I knew a girl w/ a 1980 900 EMS w/ an Auto

My '79 C900 GLE was auto & PS...

The rest certainly were a mix of stick and slush. Not sure on the PS but suspect that was a (nearly?) GLE-only option

These alloys on the convertible jumped out at me from the thumbnail, 'custom Saab' or just similar bolt pattern from another make?

They were available through the accessories catalog. I don't think I've ever seen them in person...

"BEHOLD"!
Interesting that the car looks like it had been pretty clean, appears to have under 45K miles on it, and was taken apart...

Good eye on the yellow one. VIN says it's a '92.

Did not know they made MCY cars other than the '91 SE's.

Here's one that has been for sale in Santa Rosa off and on for a couple years. Looked at it a few years ago. Had some newer paint decently done. Drove OK. Needed some clean-up to be cherry. But, the way prices are going on the more rare models, probably about right...
