BaT has 5 vintage cars for sale from the Perry collection out in CA. Nice looking cars, but seems the prices for these just hasn't taken off like some other brands.

Seems like it has...
$102,550 for five old SAABs?!?

Meanwhile this Bullnose Panel Van sold for $13,100 just a month ago.

It seems the buyer of the panel van got a steal...

When I looked, it was close to the end of auction and prices were half that.

Wow ! This may have the most custom work I've seen on an actually useable 99.
Chrome rear spoiler ? I wonder how that was accomplished ?

Are nice 99s really going for $9k now? Believe this to be Jamie Kitman's car. This isn't perfect by any means. I've always thought Saabs were undervalued but wow: http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/cto/5886208541.html

I of course don't really know what I'm talking about... but it seems like nice Saabs are definitely appreciating, and while you have some sellers asking absolutely insane prices, I think we're now seeing 'vintage' prices for Saabs when they used to just be 'old cars'. I'm always curious if a lot of these moonshot priced cars ever end up selling for close to asking price? :dunno:

Well guys I found my car via a craigslist tip. Abandoned for a month not more than five miles from my house.with a full tank of gas still. Car was unharmed besides the tearing out of the cheap stereo and the damn ashtray. Full of bandages and syringes. pretty gross. luckily these idiots didn't look in the hatch( i had close to $2000 in salmon/steelhead fishing gear) so happy about that. now I have a good excuse to buy a new stereo.

There's someone on SaabLink selling a set of early bolt-pattern Super Inca wheels with locking center caps for $175, and a B20 8-valve head that's complete and has new exhaust valves (but hasn't had the gasket surface machined) for $75 in Medford, MA, if anyone has a hankering.

Awesome news!

Rent a steam cleaner for the interior and get a new stereo and you'll be good as new...

A place with a locking garage. Kill switch so they move on to a Honda or Camary.

Wow, awesome you got it back! Couldn't get the cops to take the syringes as evidence?

So, how about mounting a gas grille starter in the door handles?

IIRC, mudflaps were no longer standard equipment in '79 and were sold as accessories like the inserts which definitely added comfort. Here is the BAT feature on it from 1/10, before a radio was installed: http://bringatrailer.com/2010/01/03/52k ... aab-99-gl/
