Not sure, it has the headlight wipers and doesn't have the speedo, both of which could easily be changed over its lifetime so who knows. The seats would be a dead giveaway but I can't see where the flip lever is located.

Edit: Actually looking at it again those seats are definitely the old style, so definitely a '90.

Pretty beat up, but not bad for $800 even to part it out. Thing I don't get is that he says it won't go into 1st or 2nd, but he drives it every day. Starting in 3rd?

Odd .. someone on a VW forum I frequent once grafted a Subaru Legacy hood scoop onto their GTi, wonder if that is what it is from.
Seems unlikely to have a top-mount Intercooler though ..

Hood scoop is probably just for looks. IMHO it would have made a much more effective head-turner if he had welded an ENTIRE WHALE to the car.

Sweet c900 convertible. I love the mesh grille in the gunmetal color. If you look at his photo site though, he painted it gold at one point and it looks soooooooooooooooooo bad. Like it would be a deal breaker. Crazy how something as little as a grille can really make or break the look of the car.
