I think those recent posts are coming from someone who is trying to bump up the perceived value of the Saab 99. The white one for $27K was put up and then 8 hours later they'd edited it to say "SOLD" but left the ad up there. That stuff shows up in google results and although the original post isn't retrievable, it starts giving people an idea of an item's value that isn't "real"... I've seen this kind of thing before with odd-ball collectibles but never cars.

Well as luck would have it as soon as this site came back online I spotted a 99 on CL!

looks like a car worth looking at in person. Looks like its got some respray and maybe some rough body work hidden by the ultra bright contrast photos but still a clean original looking car at a reasonable price. great starting point
