Nice job Jordan.
Will the kit be a regular stock item once the production is sorted out?

Re: T5 Flywheels
Still waiting on a few brackets, but we got two complete units and hardware kits out today.
Delorean and Gary will have a delivery for Sat. I'd expect.
More brackets should be ready for next week.

That is great Gary... left the door here about 5 o'clock. I've been meaning to put an instruction set together (not that you need it) for all the bits and bobs that come with it. Many of which you may or may not need.

Registered here just to give you my thanks, this should make my T5 conversion that much easier and durable. If only we could get a gearbox that didn't self-distruct...

Re: T5 Flywheels
Well, it is early, so no big promises, but having some sort of competition 4-speed gearset available is certainly a hope of mine and an interest of eEuro. With their resources we have no problem with doing a run of them, the question is what is actual demand when you put a $3,500 price tag on it? I'm trying to round out the Trionic development and gearsets will probably be the next big project.

Re: T5 Flywheels
LSD's in stock in the US would be nice too! I'd buy a diff a while before a gearset, but obviously I need both...

Re: T5 Flywheels
the last run of grippers ran 10 of us about $1000 each. The problem with these parts for a place like Eeuro is that there is a lot of up front cost and a lot of cost to carry the inventory which will impact the prices in order to clear some profit.
that said, if Eeuro fronted the cost for a run of 10 Grippers it would still be a deal for you or I to pay $1500 for a unit given the ease of having a USA distributor. And if Eeuro could work a deal with Gripper and get their prices down in the $750/unit range then they could make a profit.
Jordan, are you thinking straight cut gearsets?

I was thinking today about the grippers again. I'll post again in the Gripper thread, but if there is enough interest I will contact them again.
Jordan, that price sounds reasonable for a good gearset with nice ratios and added reliability/strength. While a lot of money, I think the results would be well worth it. And if you look at costs that people incur racing other types of cars, it could become an easy number to swallow. It would be something I could afford and would buy if I planned on the expense ahead of time.

Re: T5 Flywheels
The gear sets would be cool but people also need to remember that the price tag isn't necessarily just $3500 (estimated). You also need a new ring and pinion otherwise the gearing will be way too tall. R&P adds another $1400. Then of course you can add on other things like a diff, strengthened selector forks and selector fingers, 4 chain primary, etc. to add to the costs if you'd like

Re: T5 Flywheels
And time to assemble it all!
I went to a Ferarri Challenge event at Limerock last weekend. I'd guess those brake rotors probably cost more than what we are talking about...it's all relative.

Time for a new thread on gearboxes? Bad case of ADD. Now we are looking at carbon brakes. Carbon-carbon flywheel/ clutch group buy with integrated timing tigger wheel?

Re: T5 Flywheels
I was thinking about what other costs would be involved last night. Is there currently a source for R&P or is that another estimated cost?
