My idler pulley seized and sheared off the mount on the bracket on my way home from PA last weekend. The car just made it home before the battery was done. I have looked at Chris's shop and no luck. I have not called around to see if any of the yards have it...it a pain to get off in the car as the alternator mount sits on top of it.
Though, I may try to put together a custom mount that uses the one upper mount bolt and the two free head threaded holes...it would be a lot easier to replace if I can put a bracket together light that and get the alignment correct.

Any idea if a 9-3 uses the same bracket?

They are, and I am fairly sure I have one of each. Will look tonight. Downside is it could be at home in NY or I threw it out.

I will may have to go the new route but I'd like to see if I can layout a custom bracket first. This bracket is such a pain to replace that a special bracket might make things easier in the future. I think the idler shearing the bracket off was a fairly common issue on the NG900's and then they changed the design on the 9-3's. I suspect it is also possible to convert to a 9-3 bracket style as I think the engines themselves are pretty much the same.
anyone?
anyone?

If number 8 Below... EPC says it is #4356093 which is superseded to #5171376. It is also the alternator mount bracket.
Looks like eEuro has ordered it before.

Yes, it is #8. That little wing that it mounts to snapped right off. Shoot me a PM with the price and I'll make a decision from there.

If you have not found a used part yet, I am almost certain I know several donor cars at the U-pulls near me. I was last there 2 weeks ago getting NG 900 wiring harness for T-5 conversions. I am hoping to go again this week or weekend.
What year is your car and is it a turbo? I suspect it is a 2.0 turbo.
I will get one for "stock" if at all possible. and then let you know.
