Up for sale, rare 1986 900S 2dr Notchback. $300 or best offer
This car might be an OK shell for someone who wants one or maybe a LeMons car, but not really a good candidate for a pretty car. The car has 197K miles on it and hasn't been driven for 4 years. It has an automatic transmission that worked when parked but the park pawl wouldn't engage so it would effectively be in neutral when it was parked. Also the pump was getting a little weak so the box had "morning sickness".
The brake rotors and pads are shot (rusted) and it probably would need calipers too. The interior got moist and moldy so I'd suggest just throwing most of it out.
The body isn't great but isn't as bad as I was expecting, though it is fairly rusty.
The fender lips are almost all in good shape. The only exception is the left rear where the car was hit about 10 years ago when it had 100k miles on it. The quarter panel was repaired by pushing the panels back into place, bonding them back together where necessary, and sealing out moisture as best possible. The LR arch is still in decent shape overall, it looked like mostly surface rust. There is some surface rust on the inside of the left rear inner fender at the seams that would probably clean up ok with a wire brush on an angle grinder.
The main part of the floors are solid but the jack points are rusted (rusted through the center on the front jack points, rears are fairly rusted).
The frame rail under the driver's and passenger's feet seem pretty good. The driver's side seems fine, the passenger side has surface rust (I couldn't get a screwdriver through).
The seam between the floors and quarter panel/side rail is pretty rusted. I could scrape most of it off and I could get a screwdriver through along the seam in some spots.
The battery tray area is bad too
Only one spot of rust around the control arm mounts, on the passenger side
The car doesn't run though I had it running on ether. I'm assuming it's because of bad gas in the tank. The ignition lock was stuck (key wouldn't turn it) so I had to take it out and make a jumper wire for the ignition switch.
Its missing a few parts (headlights, shocks) and I'm keeping the trailer hitch.
I'm willing to help with delivery around the New England area if anyone is interested. Located in Lempster, NH.

The car went to it's new owner last week. Sounds like it will live on and be out on the ice!
