1990 900 SPG Talladega Red $1800

Postby kuponut » Thu Sep 20, 2018 10:20 pm

Posting this here and on Saab Central. I will put it on craigslist in a week or two.

This is located in Seattle, WA.

I think the price is fair, but let me know what you think.

Here's a link to some pictures, I don't think it looks this good in-person, however: https://photos.app.goo.gl/LLnPcLepwX1Ayi7u8

Good:
SPG wheels are in great shape
Stock SPG springs
Buffalo Grey Interior
June 2011 - New hydraulic engine mounts on the sides, Solid aluminum front engine mount
November 2011 - New fuel pump and check valves, new 3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator
December 2011 @ ~242,000 miles
New remanufactured steering rack installed by Scanwest
Sometime during 2012, installed Nokian enTyre tires on stock SPG rims, they are essentially rain tires suitable for cold and warmer weather.

July 2013 @ ~252,000 miles, work done by myself.
I tore the car apart, I'm sure there are items that I replaced missing from this list:
Engine, turbo, transmission swap from a 1992 SAAB 900 Turbo with 82,000 miles, replaced whatever gaskets and seals on the drivetrain that made sense to while it was out
New Bilstein HD Shocks on front and back
New suspension bushings all around
New ball joints
New Clutch disc, pressure plate
New Clutch Slave, new Clutch master, new clutch hose
Resurfaced flywheel
New Solid metal bearing short-shifter, from the SAAB guy in Belgium or France?
New Shift coupler
New front brake pads, rotors
New Rear brake pads, rotors
New remanufactured Alternator
New Stainless steel brake lines
Installed gusetted Steel Rear differential cover
Installed Squaabworks custom made adjustable Trionic 5 adapter in preparation for future Trionic 5 install
3" downpipe and exhaust
Installed Airlift 1000 airbag suspension in rear springs

December 2016 - Trionic 5 install
New genuine SAAB Direct Ignition Cassette
New Trionic 5 sensors
2.1L Throttle Body
Eeuroparts trionic 5 wire harness
Trionic 5 ECU with T7 BPV mod
New T7 BPV Mod
E-code headlights from Eeuroparts

April 2018 - to prepare for sale
Replaced rear brake rotors, pads
Replaced Driver's side mirror housing
Installed new hatch shocks
Misc.

I'm sure there's more I forgot, I didn't list minor maintenance items

Bad:
Deep, gnarly scratches on the hood
Dried tree sap spots on hood, roof, etc. of car, I have had no success removing them
Neighbor backed into the driver's side upper rear quarter panel two years ago, and left a small dent dent
Passenger and Driver's windows won't go down
A/C removed for Trionic 5 installation
Typical cracked dash
Broken passenger side fog light
SPG panel on passenger side, front, behind front wheel is popping out. It popped out a couple years ago, seems like a previous owner tried gluing it in place.
Weathered leather interior
Odometer stopped working at 254,000 miles, it works intermittently. I estimate it is getting close to 300,000 miles, I drive around ~9000 miles per year, roughly
Fuel gauge doesn't work, stopped working recently
There's play in the steering column at the steering wheel
Clear coat peel in spots on passenger side, fading paint on driver's side
Tape cassette player

You can use a razor blade to remove the tar spots from the body. Just go slowly and be careful and you can do this without damaging the paint.
