if I got 20 MPG out of that I'd be amazed... does look to have some potential, but not for $1600... maybe $160 was what he ment?

Downhill. My 99 got about 24mpg before mods... not sure if it is worse or better now.

around town my 99 5 door gets about 22 - 24 mph. on the highway running about 55 -65 mph with a constant throttle I can get around 28 - 30 mph. I didn't think it was possible until I did it on several trips. The car is stock in the engine department except for the electric water pump...which may actualy help as it may be more efficient both on the power consumption end and on the steady temperature end.
I am the 73%
