9000 passenger seat
around 3 o'clock this morning a group of 17 year old champions tried to steal my crappy 'ol '90 model 9000s. of course they couldn't. so they just decided that they would tear the hell out of the interior. anyway long story short/kinda long, i took today off work and hung out with some deputies. then i sat around and ordered all of the interior parts that they destroyed. they took a pocket knife to the passenger seat, the champs. anyone have a tan leather pass. seat for a '90 9000? they just screwed up the seat bottom, so thats really all i'd need, but would take...you know.

ah man sorry to hear that! What a bunch of a$sholes!
I might have some C900 seats laying around; I thought the 9000 used the same seats as a 900 for some years? Let me know if I can be of any help.

Sorry to hear about the vandalism -- that's $h!tty. If it's any consolation, they'll probably end up under the compassionate care of a loving penal facility in a number of years.
Late 80s c900 seats with passive belts (*maybe* 87?? but definitely 88-89, 2-door models only, S and Turbo trim levels only), and 91-93 (+94 cvt) seats have the same bolt pattern as all 9000 seats. (1990 was a weird year: c900 seats went back to the pre-passive belt mounting.)
c900 seats with the same 9000 pattern, of which the 91+ are closest to the 9000 seat design, are not a bolt-in solution. I recently sold a pair of 92 seats to a guy who put them in a 9000 and he had a number of issues getting them to fit (clearance with trim/seat bottom, and heater wiring, as I recall). Apparently, they are not as identical as commonly stated on forums, so c900 > 9000 doesn't work as well as 9000 > c900.
The passive-belt c900 seat bottoms are a little narrower than the 9000/late c900, so they might work in a pinch. But there are incompatibilities with seatbelt buckles: at some point -- 1990 or 91 -- Saab stopped using the arrow-shaped buckles and went to ones with a square profile with square hole. So a passive belt seat would need the female buckle r-&r'd, too...

i really just need the leather cover for the seat bottom, so what i gather is that that portion would be the same as on a 900 from those years? my pass. seat is manual if that makes any diff., but surely not??? if anyone has a seat bottom cover--tan that they would let go, just let me know how much you want for it.
