There were no questions which is why Matt removed the post. It was more of a "You're head is worthless even though I have no idea what actually was done to it" post.

What's the difference between a 2.3 9k head and a T5 head? Is that a 2.0 T5 head?

Re: FS 2.3 head port & polished, 3angle valve job
The 2.3 that is similar to the 2.1 is from the early 9000 -92 2.3 engines. DI but not trionic. After that all 9000s had trionic 5, then after '98 all 2.3 cars had trionic 7. The differences are the size of the valves, timing hole and probably some other stuff I don't remember.

Re: FS 2.3 head port & polished, 3angle valve job
the early 2.3 di/apc head is the same as the 2.1 na head basically minus cams i believe, you are correct jordan with the valves being larger i believe they are 1mm larger than the 2.0 c900 head. i have a 2.1 head on my my other SPG, with a 2.1 manifold and tb, and there was a noticable power increase and spooled faster do to the more flow. this is a really great mod in my book.

The two (2.3/2.1) are actually slightly different, but nothing major. I forget what part of the casting is different, but there is something.

They have the same part number cast into them....
Or at least I remember seeing the same part # on 2.1 and 2.3 heads...

The 2.3 heads up to 1993 are the same as the 900 2.1 heads. 94 and beyond something was a bit different.

Re: FS 2.3 head port & polished, 3angle valve job
I think the 94 cars in particular were strange. I think they also had a different transmission mating as well as far as I can recall from "my saab days."

Re: FS 2.3 head port & polished, 3angle valve job
the 93 9000 was the bastard step child with a different transmission and ecu setup (IIRC it was trionic 5 while the rest of trionic 5 was actually 5.5) I have no real idea about the heads, to be honest I thought they were pretty much the same.
