I am certifiable SAAB nut, having worked on 99s since I was 13 (and on the family 95 before that). I have been driving C900s lately, but getting back into the 99 scene, with a 1974 99LE (4dr) that I am putting a 99T 4spd and '85 900 rear axle and front hubs into (I will probably put a slightly modified 99T engine in it, but want to get it on the road right now). I WILL eventually do at least one 99 16V project, but not on this '74. My daily driver is a beryl green '91 SPG, as well as a '90 conv, and my kids drive a '91 900s (that they did a auto-to-5spd conversion on last year). I have one '74, two '76s (one an ems), a '78 99T, and more 900s than I care to admit, if you count parts cars (If you don't, it's still double digits). I live in east TX, so for most of them rust is not an issue. I enjoy sites where I can see that if my SAAB mania isn't 'normal', at least I'm in good company.

You sound normal enough to me...welcome to the site. I recently cleaned house and now only have one Saab...But have owned 15 or 16 in my life time...900's, 9000's, 99's.

You'll fit right in here! Especially if you start smuggling some of those rust free Texas Saabs to the northeast. Got any pics of the fleet?
