My name is Jeff and I am a long time SAAB addict....

Postby jskrebs » Sat Jul 06, 2013 7:28 am

Starting with my families 63 stroker as a kid through 96 V4 and multiple 99's a Sonnett V4 , 900's and 9000's I have had a Saab in my life since I was 3 years old.

Originally from Buckingham in Bucks County, Pa but currently residing in Western Clinton County Pa in the Village of Westport. This is great Saab country for driving.

Currently the steward of 3 Saab's. An 85 C900 running T5.2 (my car), a 93 9000 CSE less ETS (son's car) and a 97 9000 Aero (daughters car).

Also own a 99 Land Rover Discovery (wife's car) and my daily driver is a 2013 Ford Fusion with 1.6 EcoBoost motor (company car)

I do most of my own work in my 120 year old garage and former blacksmith shop, but will be moving to my Barn as soon as I get it cleared out and electrified.

I have been posting on the other Saab boards for a few years (same user name ) and Jeff Henderson invited me to this board last week when he stopped by to pick up some parts.

Hey Jeff, was good coming out for a visit. Could you post some pictures of your 85 900 project? I really liked that car!

Jeff,
As you are running T5.2, I'm going to have some questions. Do you have a build thread out there? I'm doing that to my 99 right now.

Welcome aboard!

John

Yes T5.2 build thread on Saab World and a specific Trionic discussion on Saab Link. I would be glad to assist. My car started on first crank and ran great.
Got a virtual MikeD tune to get timing under control and I am learning the ins and outs of T5 Suite. Just got my in car PC and Can Bus installed this morning. Petty cool to go for a ride and watch the gauges and maps change. Pretty dangerous too, flat landers everywhere...

Is your 99 a 16V or an 8v?

It's a 16VT. Thanks, I'll check it out.

Got my front wheel bearings replaced and an alignment.

Huge difference in driving, no grinding noise! The shop had c900 shims.

Nice, I finished T5ing my SPG, you still need the 2.1 throttle body? Next time I come up your way I can bring it along.
