New to the group.

Postby TokyoChopSquad » Tue Sep 08, 2020 1:12 am

Hello,

I'm new to the page. I've just come into the ability to by my dads parts car (yay me) and I've decided to try to build a vintage rally car and join the Alcan 5000 in a few years. Currently, I drive a Mazda 3, but I've had 2 900s before this as well as seat time in a Viggen.

The Saab I'm looking to purchase is from 1986 and was previously owned by an 80's rocker. Its a 5 speed manual turbo hatchback in silver, and its in a tired condition. Happy to show you more when I can pick it up.

Has anyone ever tried lifting their 900s yet?

Welcome. The days of this site being super highly activate have kind of dwindled but a few of us still check in once in a while. Are you in Europe or are those just Vanity plates? If you are in the USA you might look at our classifieds section because there is a red 900 hatch for sale for reasonable money that looks like it might be a good starting platform.

At least half of the people on here have probably lifted a 99 or a 900

Crazyswede had a 900 with some front springs that came from a circle track car that we real tall. I think he used stock or some sport springs in the back with spacers above/below the springs. When you got in/out it felt like a truck. It was actually taller than the rally car we were racing in.
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off :eyebrows:
