I'll continue to lurk, but I thought I'd at least register too. I've got 2 saabs, 1 honda, 1 creepy van, and 6 motorcycles. I love the site and all the saab knowledge that is spewed onto it. Thanks. Give a wave if you're passing through Woodbury, CT.

How many seemingly average looking cars can you sleep in and put a motorcycle in.... at the same time?

Hey Gardner!
We met at Swedish Car Day (I was the one behind you on the way to the museum for a little while). I'm glad you joined us, your 99 is really nice!

It looks like you have some other nice toys, right on. Seth put his Honda CT90 into the back of his '86 900 2dr notchback once. It was pretty funny.

9000's were meant to haul bikes. I could fit 3 on the roof of mine and 4 (sometimes 5) inside it. We would just pile a bunch of people in some more average car and head to the forest. :)

Hey, look at my profile interests, I like bicycles. Can you live in New England, drive a Saab, and not be a hippie? Let's see, I've never worn sandals, I wash my hair everyday, never smoked pot, don't play a crusty ass instrument, don't own anything made of hemp......., but I do have a lot of bumper stickers and I do enjoy a good vegetable so maybe I am......

Woodbury eh? I'm always driving all around Connecticut, I'm surprised I've never seen a white 99 about.

Well, we could drive down route 6, each of us headed toward the other's town, and wave in the middle.

It's a '66 Yamaha YL1. It's a neat little bike, 100cc two-stroke twin. A friend in Seattle gave it to me when I was out there. It hadn't run since '88 and has Hawaii tags. I went through it and got it fired up. It's going big bore this winter.

Uh, Alta sticker? Duh: hippie  (I used to live there.)

Nice 99 -- I had the exact same one, same color, etc., years ago (first car). Sold it with almost 340,000 on the clock. Miss that car. Sigh...

I think I may have seen your car... I passed a light colored 99 in nice shape on route 8 once, younger guy driving it. Can't be too many of them around.

It's definitely been on Route 8.

So what year is the 99? 77 , 78? Do you drive it much?

It's a '78. My grandfather bought it new and my dad inherited it when he passed. My dad never drove it much and gave it to me a couple years ago. It's my summer car. I traveled around the country for a year in the 9000 and switched over to the 99 when I got back in May. It's about to get parked. No need to drive it in the winter.
