Too bad you have to paint it, the bare stainless looks sweet!

yeah, skip painting it! It's stainless so just clean up the discoloration from welding and leave it!
Or polish it to a mirror finish if you insist
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off :eyebrows:

In all seriousness, this is so freakin ridiculously amazing. I can't believe this project is actually taking place somewhere. I wonder how many people are catching this. I open this site almost daily and I'm always impressed, keep up the great work for the rest of us that can't work on our cars right now Luke!

Ha, thanks Jon! I am glad that people are enjoying watching the project, i'm trying to make it very visual, mostly because I am better at machining and photography than I am at writing.

Time for more pics.

Heres the coolant manifold painted.

I have watched your progress from far away and just need to know DO YOU EVER SLEEP? I work and rally and don't have time to finish my own car let alone attempt something of this magnatude, so i need to plug in and download your secrets (and a fly shit of your abillity). The only place i've seen quality like yours is in factory built cars where money is no object. Well done and more power to you!

Answer: Perpetual Motion. 7 days a week, Every day there is a new "To Do List", every moment he is not at work is spent building or extensively researching the most efficent and accurate way to complete his projects. He reads engineering textbooks in bed and even when he is asleep his mind is still in Saab mode. One night he was talking in his sleep and said "yes I finally found the part i was looking for".....true story.

No clinic would admit any of us.... they all have those things they call, 'minimum standards.'

Wives and girlfriends seem willing to overlook 'the truth' due to overwhelming sexiness... or something.

I still can't figure out why Mrs. Price (willingly) signed up for the job, though it does make the house a little more colorful.
