Chris,
That looks fantastic!!
Sorry, I don't have any experience to comment on your ride height so far, I'm sure someone will pipe up though.

Very nice car! Let me know how you like the spax shocks. What is sticking out from below the front bumper? Might want more protection for that.

As soon as try the car I'll let you know about the shocks. Is the front mount oil cooler. Still wait for the aluminium skid plate for protection.
Any information for my question ?? ......Luke ??????

Wow, the car is looking great! Nice job there, quite a transformation from the last pictures you posted. On the ride height, I'll measure the distance from the ground to the bottom of the rocker pinch weld on my car tonight. I run my car lower than some others, but the suspension is pretty nice and the skid plate is robust so I seem to get away with it. The basic idea is to try to get the front lower a-arms and the rear panhard rod parallel to the ground at static ride height, or only slightly pointing down towards the wheels.

Thanks guys
I need also to know the tire/wheel dimensions for tarmac and gravel rallies.
I'm also say that if there is any way to pay for all these information I'm asking because propably someone spend money and time to get it

I'll bet a paypal donation to the SAABRALLY team would be greatly appreciated. There's a button one can click on the main page if someone was so inclined.

As for tires/wheels. I like a 205/50/15 on a 15" X 7" wheel for tarmac. Anything wider usually starts to rub somewhere and needs adjustments.
I'd have to go outside to look at the rally tires, can never remember the few different sizes I've run on a 99. Maybe someone with a better memory will. I do run a narrower 15" wheel on gravel and ice though. Usually a Shelby/Panasport/Minilite type that's 5.5" wide.

For gravel tires there are basically two size choices, In michelin/pirelli sizes its either a 14/62 or a 16/65, in hankook and yoko's and others they are 185/65 and 195/65. All 15" of course. They used to make an in between size a 15/64 and that was just about perfect for a higher horsepower SAAB, but they discontinued that size, at least in the states. With a turbo motor you will shred 14-62's in no time, but with 16/65 you may have some rubbing issues in the rear, especially if anything gets tweaked during a rally.
For tarmac I agree 15x7 with somewhere about 35 offset and 205/50 tires is perfect. Tons of race compound available in this size with no rubbing issues.

I measured last night, almost exactly 25cm from the ground to the bottom of the pinch seam on the rocker. Hope that helps!

I like the huge fender flares you built on the BMW. What was the mold making process? It looks like you cut some pieces of foam and stuck them to the fender, then put body filler over the foam and smoothed it out, then sprayed more foam on top to make the mold.
The kind of dirty that doesn't wash off
