The owners manual from my 71 99 lists the curb weight for a 2 door manual trans car as 2425 and 52% of the weight on the front.

I figured sub 2k lbs in its final form.

I just got some scales at the shop and weighed my 99. 2150 fully wet (well 1/3 tank of gas). I didn't level out the floor yet to get exact corner weights, but it was something like 400lb each rear corner and 700lbs for the front corners.

Pretty much the same weight distro as Drew got. It totally needs a Kevlar composite hood

Put the radiator and fans in the trunk like that Global Rally Cross car. Make an aluminum frame to replace the radio support and get a light hood.

Who wants to make some aluminum blocks?

Seriously though, you could take 10 lbs out of the nose of one of these cars with a lightweight flywheel.

That's true. I didn't even think of that when I put mine in. And ditching the cast iron exhaust manifold is probably good for another 10, battery to the trunk gets you another 30 or whatever....

Just for comparison sake, my 86 900 weighed 2560 on the scale at the roller mills.

Life is in the way right now, have two big jobs for old customers lined up, and putting in lots of overtime at work. Picked up a black on black 9000 Aero to flip and just found a gearbox for it, have just about everything I need to get the white 99 running, but haven't gotten that all back together yet.... I got my dirt bike running pretty good and went on a few weekend rides on that to get back into the thick of some kind of motorsport at least....

Summer's long daylight hours should lead to lots of productivity though. More will come soon!

Bump this up finally.

Have some more parts waiting to go on.

Jordan is building me a T5 harness and flashing an N/A B202 tune (can't wait!) so I can drop that in and get started on electrical work.

Still have to make pedal box and pedals and run brake lines.

Still need fuel pumps.

Figure something out with the radiator. The stock one hits the front mount that I made.

Have to finish mounting steering column. I'll try to integrate the middle support mount into the pedal box like the stock one does and keep things tidy.

That's really all that's left. I'll have to add a sill bar to the cage for it to meet the revision to FIA-253 if I am going to get that logged, but that'll be quick.
