Saab 99 rear suspension
Saab 99 rear suspension
I own a 1977 saab 99. I want to restore it, nothing crazy, just pretty much stock. I started by taking out the rear suspension to patch a few holes in the floor board and trunk. I want to replace all the bushings for the rear suspension. I've found a few but the sets dont include the trailing arms and such. Does any one know were i could get a complete set? Or would a kit from a later 900 model work?

Re: Saab 99 rear suspension
These bushings are usually factory only, not much out there in the aftermarket.
The first upgrade I do on 99's is to replace the early Mustang-shocked rear axle w/ the earlier 900 (79-87) rear axle. It's a bolt-in and has a rear sway bar that greatly improves handling...

Re: Saab 99 rear suspension
I believe poly flex makes almost all the bushings for a 900. I have nearly all the fronts in poly, ( all but the upper spring perch). As far as I know they exist for the rear too. Try Georges imports. In KC.
