nice! It looks like you replaced some pretty big sections.

Did it look like this before?

update:

been busy lately, my 2cd Daughter was born and in between doing family stuff ive been working at the car.

just buttoning up small issues, ran my first autox event with it and the car feels great iam having a miss fire at 5k so that kept me from really contending. but it was nice to see how the car felt very stable and alot of turn in grip with no front bar and the stiffer springs. but iam almost going to go up a little on the front rate from 500 to 550. i also have some Aero racing steel wheels coming in 10x13" with 10" hoosier slicks.

Nice, where was the auto-x, Devens?

Are the 13's to help with gearing? Id think they would make 3rd more usable on a tighter course, and help keep the revs up for that turbo.

yep, it was a SCCA event and this Sunday i have a Bay state corvette club event

ya i was told they do help out with the gearing and since there less wheel/tire to move around they should be quicker, but as big as the turbo is it comes into boost at 2500.....yes 2500 rpm's plus the car left foot brakes like a beast haha

I'm surprised that small a wheel will clearance the brake calipers. I've heard that Devens event is pretty good as far as Autocrosses go. I'm still trying to set up the car while there are some local events before I take it on any longer excursions. As well as looking for a possible tow setup.

http://www.saablink.net/forum/n-perform ... 7941-2.htm

thats a link to a guy in Florida that runs 13's thats a front hand brake car too he said he had to trim a little off the front caliper. and from what he said if the 88+ calipers are smaller than the -87 calipers.

ya devens is a fun event. iam doing the same thing staying close to my house till i get the car 100% or get my trailer on the road

The later brakes are definitely more compact. I'd be concerned about how really wide wheels would mess with the steering/suspension geometry.. but maybe the sheer width of the tires will overcome all that.

i dont think that should matter so much.....i guess i'll find out.... my concern is re-learning the car with the new mechanical grip and wider stance around cones

Paints looking great. Any idea when you'll have the wheels/have a chance to test the new tires?
